A hidden gem of hospitality
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a glass of wine, setting a welcoming tone. The meals were a delightful experience. Els's homemade dinners were fantastic, and breakfast options were plentiful, served with warm conversation and care. Staying in a beautiful historic home, filled with antiques, brought an authentic charm that resonated with us. We especially loved the cozy communal spaces and personal touches like refreshments always available for guests.
While the charm of the historic house was evident, the long stairway to our room could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. Also, some outdoor areas were still being improved, but you could tell the owners had plans for wonderful upgrades.

Positive, I had a wonderful stay here with my family for 1 night. The host was super welcoming and made us feel like we were at home. Breakfast was fantastic – homemade pastries, meats, and eggs made to order. The house had a charming feel from 1911 with modern comforts. Everything was clean and cozy! 😄

Staying here with my two young kids was a delight! We loved the spacious driveway for parking and the beautiful atmosphere of the early 1900s home. The breakfast was a treat, with homemade spreads and fresh fruits that made our mornings special.
In my wife’s opinion, more family-friendly activities would be great.

The spacious Queen Room was beautifully decorated with antiques and offered a modern spa bath experience. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring made-to-order eggs and fresh pastries that made every morning enjoyable. However, the long stairway to the second floor might be challenging for those with mobility issues, and the ongoing work on the grounds could be a distraction for some. Nevertheless, the welcoming atmosphere and the owner's delightful cooking make it a memorable stay.
